Ever important, being a Responsible and Involved Citizen, I demonstrated this guiding principle both in my work, in my spare time, and in doing school activities. When the opportunity arose, I took a job reporting out election results from the Pittsfield voting center to a nationwide service. Participating in this demonstrated my civic literacy skills (4.4). Another part of my job description at Aubuchon is running the register, demonstrating my economic literacy skills (4.3). When I was a junior, as a company commander in JROTC, I was tasked with conducting the annual giving tree. Conducting the Giving Tree allowed me to identify personal and community needs and wants (4.5) and work collaboratively with the school community (4.6).
